Tubi TV is a free streaming service that supports itself with advertising and it is very similar to Hulu when it first started all the way back in 2007. The ads are not too intrusive with about one to three breaks per program depending on whether it is a thirty-minute show or a full hour. Tubi has not ventured into original programming just yet, and hopefully it will stay that way because services seem to cut back on their catalog of past shows once they start spending on originals. And unlike the pay services such as HBO Max, Paramount+, and Peacock, Tubi’s offerings do not appear to focus on a specific studio.
The service has quite a lot of sci fi and TV to offer, going as far back as some of the very early anthology shows like Lights Out and Tales of Tomorrow and also offering some more recent shows like Revolution and Almost Human. It also has quite a number of one-season-wonder genre entries, some of which you can’t find anyplace else. Among those are Man from Atlantis, the Logan’s Run TV series, the ’90s version of The Flash, the short-lived 1998 reboot of Fantasy Island (starring Malcolm McDowell as Mr. Roarke), Max Headroom, and more. Tubi also has a pretty large selection of Anime, far too much to list out here.

It also has quite a number of movies past and present to choose from. Tubi is available on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon’s Fire Stick, and other streaming platforms and you can also watch on its website.
