Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week

Night Sky (Premieres May 20th on Prime Video): Spanning space and time, Night Sky follows Irene (Spacek) and Franklin York (Simmons), a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man (Chai Hansen, The Newsreader) enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended…and the mystifying chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined. Premieres Friday on Amazon.

Love Death + Robots (Premieres May 20th on Netflix): Terrifying creatures, wicked surprises and dark comedy converge in this NSFW anthology of animated stories presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher. All episodes will be available for streaming on Friday.

Schedule Notes

Also this week, Halo the Series will be wrapping up its first season on Thursday.  That one has been renewed for a second year.  The regular season is coming to an end, and there are more season and series finales on the way.  There are also quite a number of sci fi and fantasy shows set to arrive this Summer and you can see the premieres for May and beyond at this link.
