Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
The Orville (Season 3 premieres June 2nd on Hulu): This series makes the jump to Hulu as the crew of The Orville return for an all-new set of adventures in the show’s third season which is subtitled “New Horizons”. The first episode premieres on Thursday and the show will release one ep per week after that.
The Boys (Season 3 premieres June 3rd on Prime Video): It’s been a year of calm. Homelander’s subdued. Butcher works for the government, supervised by Hughie of all people. But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone. So when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy. The first episode premieres on Friday and the show will release one ep per week after that.
Tom Swift (Premieres May 31st on The CW): As an exceptionally brilliant inventor with unlimited resources and unimaginable wealth, the devilishly charming Tom Swift is a man who many men would kill to be or be with. But that world gets shaken to its core after the shocking disappearance of his father, thrusting Tom into a breathtaking adventure full of mysterious conspiracies and unexplained phenomena. Premieres Tuesday at 9 PM EST.
Schedule Notes
Also this week, Fear the Walking Dead will have its season finale on AMC. That show has been renewed for an eighth season, but that could be its last. Several of the remaining CW shows are in repeats or preempted this week as the network is dragging them out to keep new episodes on its schedule. There are quite a number of sci fi and fantasy shows set to arrive this Summer and you can see the premieres for June and beyond at this link.
