Sci Fi TV Trailers: A rundown of the teasers, trailers, featurettes, and the occasional retro-trailer related to sci fi and fantasy television released over the past week or so. Note that the networks can remove a trailer from availability at any time.
The Witcher (Netflix): As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.
Ahsoka (Disney+): Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. Premieres August 23rd.
Twisted Metal (Peacock): Twisted Metal is a high-octane action comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck. Premieres July 27th.

Surrealestate (Syfy): Real estate agent Luke Roman is the owner of The Roman Agency, a boutique residential real estate brokerage specializing in “metaphysically engaged” properties, also known as haunted houses. Luke has a special connection to the spiritual realm; he can not only sense the presence that might inhabit a client’s house, he can often communicate and negotiate with it. Along with his team, Luke takes on the houses nobody else can or will. Season 2 premieres Fall 2023.
Pluto (Netflix): The robotic Europol investigator Gesicht takes the case, but the mystery deepens when he finds no trace of a human at the scene of the crime. As he pursues the truth, Gesicht uncovers the most evil manifestation of hate that history ever seen, one that is bent on bringing destruction to the world. Premiers October 26th.
