Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
Star Trek Picard (Paramount+): The stakes have never been higher as Star Trek: Picard boldly goes into its third and final season. Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, and Michael Dorn of Star Trek: The Next Generation join series star Patrick Stewart for an epic adventure. Season 3 Premieres Thursday.
Carnival Row (Prime Video): With a serial killer loose on Carnival Row, and a government that turns a blind eye to the deaths of its lower class citizens, Rycroft Philostrate, a war-hardened investigator, is the only person willing to stop the murders and maintain the fragile peace. But when Vignette Stonemoss, a faerie refugee, turns up in the Burgue, she forces Philo to reckon with a past he’s tried to forget. Season 2 premieres on Friday.
Hello Tomorrow! (Apple TV+): In a retro-futuristic world, charismatic salesman Jack Billings leads a team of fellow sales associates determined to revitalize their customers’ lives by hawking timeshares on the moon. Premieres on Friday.
Schedule Notes
The Nevers will begin its run on Tubi TV this Monday on the live-streaming WB TV Watchlist Channel. You can get the details on when it will be streaming at TVLine.com. ABC has a new supernatural dramedy Not Dead Yet which slipped on the schedule last week without much notice. It is airing Wednesdays at 8:30 PM EST and you can catch up with the first two episodes (it had a double-ep premiere) on the network’s website and on Hulu. Both Velma (HBO Max) and The Legend of Vox Machina (Prime Video) wrapped up their current seasons last week. The latter has been renewed for a third season while the former is still waiting for word on its fate. And the Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day special is now streaming on HBO Max.
