Sci Fi/Fantasy TV Shows Premiering This Week
Superman & Lois (The CW): The Man of Steel and Metropolis’ famous journalist, Lois Lane, come face to face with one of their greatest challenges ever – parenthood. Season 3 premieres Tuesday at 8 PM EST.
Shadow and Bone (Netflix): To stand a fighting chance against General Kirigan and his seemingly indestructible new army, Alina Starkov and Mal Oretsev rally their own powerful new allies and begin a continent-spanning journey to find two mythical creatures that will amplify her powers. Season 2 premieres on Friday.
Extrapolations (Apple TV+): Extrapolations is a bracing drama from writer, director and executive producer Scott Z. Burns that introduces a near future where the chaotic effects of climate change have become embedded into our everyday lives. Eight interwoven stories about love, work, faith and family from across the globe will explore the intimate, life-altering choices that must be made when the planet is changing faster than the population. Premieres on Friday.
Gotham Knights (The CW): Bruce Wayne is murdered and his adopted son forges an alliance with the children of Batman’s enemies. As the city becomes more dangerous, these mismatched fugitives will become its next generation of saviors, known as the Gotham Knights. Premieres Tuesday at 9 PM EST.
Schedule Notes
The CW’s Kung Fu wrapped up its third season last week and that could be it from that show seeing as the new network brass has indicated that they will not be carrying over many of the current shows to next season. The four premieres from this week are the most you will be seeing for a while as there are currently not many on the schedule for the next few months (read more about that at this link.)
