Syfy Sets The Ark and Reginald the Vampire for 2022-23 Season

Syfy has released at least part of its schedule for the 2022-23 season which includes two new shows and one show that has been uncanceled.  The new entries include the space-based series The Ark which comes from Stargate‘s Dean Devlin and the supernatural dramedy Reginald the Vampire.  Back from the grave is another supernatural dramedy with SurrealEstate getting revived after it was originally cancelled following its first season run in Summer 2021.  Syfy apparently had a change of heart on that one and decided to bring it back for a second year (more on that at CancelledSciFi.com).  The horror series Chucky is also set to return for a second season, and while there is no word on Resident Alien yet, it is expected to be back for a third year (that one will finish up its second season in Summer).  Not mentioned was either Day of the Dead or Astrid & Lilly Save the World, both of which performed poorly in the ratings in the 2021-22 season.  Following is the information on the two new shows set to join Syfy’s schedule:

The Ark: The Ark takes place 100 years in the future when planetary colonization missions have begun as a necessity to help secure the survival of the human race. The first of these missions on a spacecraft known as Ark One encounters a catastrophic event causing massive destruction and loss of life. With more than a year left to go before reaching their target planet, a lack of life-sustaining supplies and loss of leadership, the remaining crew must become the best versions of themselves to stay on course and survive. The series stars Christie Burke, Richard Fleeshman, Reece Ritchie, Stacey Read and Ryan Adams.

Reginald the Vampire: Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Reginald Andres tumbles headlong into it as an unlikely hero who will have to navigate every kind of obstacle – the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bully manager at work and the vampire chieftain who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers he has a few unrecognized powers of his own. The series stars Jacob Batalon, Mandela Van Peebles, and Em Haine.
